I had the most wonderful experience for dinner at Jimmies today 5/25/2025. The host and wait staff were very pleasant and attentive, and the baked stuffed lobster was perfectly cooked and wonderful. The food came without waiting too long and I never felt rushed. I enjoyed my lobster while overlooking the seashore of the Long Island Soind. I saw too many negative reviews of Jimmies. That seemed laughable given the great experience I had tonight. I will certainly return again when visiting from Californiamnn
Good fresh seafood. I wish they could do better with the French fries. They come out soggy and too oily and not hot. I usually eat here about twice a month . Some say the place is dated but that's what I love about it. I've been coming here for over 20 years and I like that it hasn't changed. The place is always clean.
Jimmy’s has been a long standing icon in West Haven Ct. The ambiance is reminiscent of a friendly , relaxed atmosphere in an exceptional restaurant with a spectacular ocean view ! Food is delicious, served within reasonable time. They are Concerned with customers needs being met ! Spectacular place to eat , relax and see our beautiful Beach ! Elvira was wonderful as always. I’ve been coming here my entire life and I’m 36. Even after moving to Florida, every time I come back home this is the first stop as soon as the plane lands. I always get to go orders to freeze and take back :)

Me and my husband came here tonight for dinner. Sat at window table with Gorgeous views of West Haven Beaches and the Water. Food was as Wonderful as we always remembered. I ordered the Fried WholeBelly Clam Dinner and Hubby had Fried Seafood Combination Dinner. Still the same Unique, Green Tarter Sauce. Delicious, fresh, Excellent Coleslaw. Waitress was knowledgeable and attentive to what we needed...offering both cocktail sauce and tarter sauce without us asking...We enjoyed our experience immensely and plan to return soon.
Grew up going to Jimmies. Haven't been here in years. After reading the reviews. I decided to make a stop to see if it really is as bad as they say. After much research and personal experience, I am convinced many of the bad reviews are hate from locals and possibly associated with a brewery that was looking to move in next door. I saw reviews of bad food, bad service and the inside falling apart. All of which I found to be untrue. Google should consider removing those reviews and going down and enjoying a meal to confirm this. I have attached photos as proof that Jimmies is clean. The service was very good and the food was enjoyable. Also posted a receipt to show the prices are reasonable as well. Unlike the reviews portray. And to those who are trying to tear this place down with negative false reviews.. kick rocks!
Been Going here for Years! Best Seafood In The State. Side order of shrimp and lobster roll can’t go wrong. Don’t Forget The Root Bear Float! Yum
